Who is your friend?

What is a friend?
 A friend makes you laugh. We have funny stories (and some not so funny) to tell and aren’t afraid to tell them.
 A friend tells you the truth. What the hell – why not tell the truth whether it makes us look smart or dumb? We aren’t creative enough to make this stuff up so you know these mini-case studies actually happened. No urban legends here.
 A friend keeps you grounded and humble. If you read this thing and think you have this business all figured out, you are screwed. We can’t help you. The best managers we know check their egos at the door and these stories will show the good, the bad and the indifferent decisions made every day.
 A friend is non-judgmental. Hey, this is a website how could it judge you?
 A friend roots for you to be successful. We hope all managers do well. If you succeed, it means your employees are succeeding (if your firm isn’t screwing up and the markets cooperate), you are getting paid what you are worth, and maybe your firm is doing well too (although that is only important to you if you own the company stock.) A good question to ask is “what is a successful manager?” Survival is a good start.
 A really good friend can get you laid. We can’t help you with that. Unless you send us lots of money. To a numbered account. In the Caymans.

Get started with the Introduction or just skip the bullshit and go straight to the Case Studies.
